  • Organizing and cleaning

SUPPORTIVE HOUSING

On-call / as needed

  • Conversational language partners to help our new Canadians practice their English. Note: This volunteer role is only available for females.
  • Moving residents in and our of our second-stage housing

TRANSITION HOUSE FOR WOMEN

4 hour weekly shift

  • Support women with tasks and errands,
  • Spend time with children
  • Baking and cooking

Volunteer shifts can be at any time between 8 am and 10 pm. We require a minimum of 96 volunteer hours (one shift per week for six months). Please contact us at 250-479-3963 or volcoordinator@cridge.org for more information.

Ongoing or one-time

  • Support residents with recreation and leisure pursuits at our licensed residential facility in Saanich
  • Accompany residents on outings
  • Garden cleanup

RESPITE & RESPITALITY SERVICES

  • Prepare and deliver gift packages to local hotels for the families accessing a Respitality stay
  • Special event planning and support

YOUNG PARENT OUTREACH PROGRAM

  • Sorting and distributing clothing and other donations
  • Supporting clients with errands

On-call / as-needed

  • Assisting recreation staff with planning or running an activity
  • Accompanying residents on an outing or field trip
  • Providing musical performances or opportunities for residents to play musical instruments
  • Event photography
  • Planning and coordinating fundraising, education, or community events
