Macdonald House
a Supportive home for survivors of a brain injury
The Cridge Brain injury Residence is a ten-bed residence for survivors of a brain injury. It has been operating since 1991 and is located in the Strawberry Vale region of Saanich.
The goals of this residence are to help individuals stabilize their lives, establish healthy routines, and create positive change after a brain injury. In time, those who can pursue independent living are encouraged and assisted to do so. Dedicated professionals provide support and create a nurturing, caring, and safe home environment. Staffing is available 24/7.
Support for residents is based on their individual needs, abilities, skills, and interests. Residents are supported and encouraged to become active contributing members of our community. This may include: vocational, recreational, therapeutic, and leisure pursuits. We work with each resident to build personal capacity, expand independence and participate in meaningful community connections.
