registration & Waitlist

Our Infant & Toddler Care, Day Care, and School-Age Care waitlists are currently full

We are unable to accept applications at this time. When we can accommodate new children on our waitlist, application forms will be available on our website. Please check back for updates on our waitlist, as we cannot reply to individual inquiries at this time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Due to our participation in the $10 a day Childcare BC funding program, waitlist applications have significantly increased in volume. If you are a new family applying to the waitlist, it is unlikely that we will have a space available for your child in the foreseeable future.

Enrollment Priority

Our wait list does not operate on a “first come, first serve basis.” Instead, priority is given to current families and families who are clients in other programs at The Cridge. Each time a space is allocated, the following order of registration priority shall be implemented by entry date on wait list and desired date of childcare service:

  1. Siblings of children currently registered/attending childcare at The Cridge
  2. Clients in other programs at The Cridge
  3. The Cridge employees
  4. Children referred by the Ministry of Children and Family Development, Supported Child Development program, or Aboriginal Supported Child Development program
  5. Community families

Other Considerations that may affect the order in which spaces are offered:

  • To be eligible for School-Age programs, children must be enrolled in a catchment school. Priority is given to children currently enrolled in The Cridge who have a sibling enrolled in the school age location where the space is vacant and children living in the school catchment.
  • To support children with transition to the next age group, programs maintain a balance of children’s ages. As such this may impact the priority in which spaces are offered.
