A Visit From The Honourable Wendy Cocchia, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia

The Cridge Centre for the Family is operated under the distinguished patronage of Her Honour, The Honourable Wendy Cocchia, C.M., O.B.C., LL.D. (Hon), Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia. In mid-October, members of our Board of Directors and management team were honoured to welcome the Honourable Wendy Cocchia, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, and her husband, Dr. Sergio Cocchia, O.B.C., LL.D. (Hon.), to The Cridge Centre for the Family. During their visit, we had the privilege of sharing our 150+ year history and the vital services we continue to provide to individuals and families across Victoria.

Throughout its history, The Cridge Centre has had a proud association with the Lieutenant Governors of British Columbia. The Honourable James Douglas, a particular friend of our founders Bishop Edward and Mrs. Mary Cridge, established a connection that has extended through the decades. The Honourable David Lam visited our childcare centre and spoke at an annual general meeting, The Honourable Iona Campagnolo opened The Cridge Village assisted living for seniors, and The Honourable Stephen Point enjoyed lunch with our seniors and staff. Both The Honourable Judith Guichon and The Honourable Janet Austin regularly attended our events.
