Much more than a Café

Welcome to The Second Chance Café, a heartwarming initiative led by The Cridge Brain Injury Services, nestled within the Cedar Hill Recreation Centre and supported in partnership with Saanich Parks and Recreation. This social enterprise is managed and staffed entirely by survivors of brain injury, providing a unique opportunity to rebuild their lives.

Our dedicated team crafts delicious meals but also expands their skill sets through specialized training. This empowering experience serves as a stepping stone to reintegrate into the workplace a supportive environment that fosters growth and healing.

Join us in championing this inspiring mission, where every cup of coffee and cookie helps transform lives. Be part of a community that believes in second chances.

The Second Chance Café is open weekdays from 9am to 3pm. We look forward to pouring you a cup coffee!

We acknowledge with respect that this is the traditional territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋən -speaking peoples, known today as the Songhees First Nation, Xwsepsəm First Nation, as well as the WSÁNEĆ Nations and Sc’ianew First Nation, original caretakers of this land. As they continue walking here gently in the way of their ancestors, we seek to do the same.

We recognize that reconciliation is not only about the past, but about how we live together today. As a Christian faith-based organization, we commit to ongoing learning, listening, and acting in ways that uphold Indigenous self-determination and dignity, and reflect the biblical teachings of peace, justice, and love.
